The Best Pickleball Camps of 2026

March 1, 2026 · Editorial Team · 8 min read

The 2026 camp season is the deepest we've ever tracked. More than 85 U.S. programs now run multi-day pickleball camps, and the top tier has quietly professionalized: video review is standard, coach-to-player ratios have tightened to 1:6 or better, and most camps now stream drills onto a shared player portal so you can rewatch after the trip.

Our editors' picks weight three things heaviest: coaching density (hours of live feedback per player per day), quality of court surface and shade, and how well the camp separates players by DUPR or self-rated level. Camps that toss a 3.0 into a 4.5 pod for 'variety' consistently get the worst reviews from both sides.

For beginners (0–3.0), the strongest values in 2026 are Nike/US Sports Camps programs at university host sites and Chicken N Pickle's weekend intros — both give you 12+ hours of instruction under $600. For 3.0–4.0 players, PPA Academy weeks and Pickleball Getaways destination camps offer the best jump in a single week. For 4.5+ competitive players, look at Pro Pickleball Academy (Boca), Life Time's advanced camps, and invitation-only Riley Newman / Ben Johns clinics.

Pricing bands to expect: half-day local clinics $75–$150, weekend camps $350–$700, destination weeks $1,800–$4,500 (lodging often separate). Anything advertising 'pro instruction' under $200/day is almost always a big-group format — fine for social play, weak for skill gains.

Two things to ask before booking: (1) what is the actual coach-to-player ratio on court, not the marketing number, and (2) how many hours per day are structured drilling versus open play. A camp with 6 hours of open play and 2 hours of instruction is a vacation, not a camp.
